Wrong, Again!

A bit of luck, a bit of help from Memphis, and the Jayhawks are the national champs, and deservedly so, although the Tigers gave it away on missed free throws. I console myself with the observation that any team can beat any other team on any given day. I can't even convince myself of this old bromide, but it's true. It just diminishes the quality of a win.

The three pointer that evened the score with 2 seconds to go was a great shot under pressure. The missed free throws by two of the best guards in the country will be remembered forever by Rose and Douglas-Roberts. Congratulations, Jayhawks. Tough loss, Tigers.

Hang around, Bruins. Don't go pro and leave all this drama in your wake. When you get back to 3 Final Fours in 3 years, you have to be pretty satisfied, but still yearning for the crown. It's just not an entitlement, and when it finally comes, if it does, it's a great experience.
